At the top of my own working pedigree stands Hans Peter Henninger — the earliest Henninger the paper trail reaches. When I went looking for where his birth date and place came from, the trail ran through a citation on the Hhennigar family site (person I6691), and that citation pointed at a OneGreatFamily doorway on ldsroots.com:

By the time I bought the domain in 2026, that address had been dead for years. So I did the obvious thing and went to the Internet Archive — and this is the part worth recording: there is no capture of it. Across the full enumeration of the domain — 248,743 archived captures, 219,123 unique URLs (Workstream A) — no page for OGFN 510682483 was ever saved. The address above is a deny.pl gate: it resolved to OneGreatFamily’s subscriber view, and the vital data a researcher would have seen lived behind that gate, on the paid side the Wayback Machine never crawled. What survived is the citation, not the record.

That is an honest, useful piece of negative evidence. It means the birth and marriage details that reach my tree through this line trace to a source that is no longer independently checkable at ldsroots.com — they rest on OneGreatFamily’s aggregated submissions as quoted by a downstream researcher, not on a document I can re-open. For the pedigree, that lowers the tier of everything above this node until it is corroborated from a primary source (a parish register, a passenger list, a probate record). For this site, it is the whole thesis in one page: a citation that outlived its target still deserves to resolve to something truthful rather than a 404 or a squatter’s parking page.

So this page is deliberately empty of vitals. It records what it can prove — that the address was cited, by whom, and that the archive holds nothing behind it — and nothing it cannot.
